This mom’s least favorite chore.
Seriously, I would rather do any other chore.
I mean I know that even without kids, dishes is a never ending chore. But, with kids, it is seriously never ending (much like laundry). Even while you’re doing the dishes, the kids are making more dishes. OR (my favorite) you think you have finally finished all the dishes so you move on to your next cleaning task, and while you’re picking up toys or throwing a load of laundry in or cleaning their rooms you find MORE DISHES. My kids are not even supposed to be eating upstairs; but somehow most of our cups end up in their rooms (I think dad is in on it…).
Always a dirty dish (or two) in the sink.
Everyone wants to help mom with the dishes; but…neither of them have quite mastered the skill yet.
However, I do accept help with unloading the dishwasher. Really, really slooooooooow help with unloading the dishwasher. One dish at a time slow. As frustrating as this may be, I let it go (please don’t start singing) because Bug is helping. I don’t want to discourage this and cause him to not want to help out later on.
This isn’t exactly helpful; but it isn’t exactly unhelpful either.
I guess you could call it slow motion help.
Well, there you have it, it’s been just another Manic Mom-day!
