So, baking is definitely easier sans kids.
But what’s the fun in that?!
If you wanted easier then having kids probably wasn’t the right life choice because, let’s be real, they make just about everything more complicated. But in a totally worth all this hassle kind of way
most of the time!
Baking with the littles means a bigger mess. It means relinquishing some of the control. It means those Martha Stewart quality holiday cookies you were going for aren’t going to be up to those magazine cover standards.
However, the cookies will still
be edible taste good. And the memories of baking them with the kids is what matters most.
And if the neighbors want to complain about getting some not so picturesque cookies…well, then bahumbug to you too neighbors!*
The kids absolutely adore getting to help out in the kitchen, so this mom just needs to remember that it’s ok to take a step back and let them pour an entire container of sprinkles onto one cookie…
*I don’t think I actually have any neighbors that would complain about this, so incase you’re reading this neighbors don’t get mad and throw deviled eggs** at my door. Instead bring your eggs inside and make cookies with us!*
**AND if you understand my deviled egg reference you can be my new best friend!**
Well, there you have it, it’s been just another Manic Mom-day!
