{recovering from staying up too late}

So, did you make the New Year’s Eve mistake of staying up way too late?

Did you make the BIGGER mistake of letting the kids stay up waaaaaaaay too late?

The days of recovering from New Year’s Eve shenanigans by just sleeping in pretty much end once you have kids. Unless you’re one of those lucky few who have kids who are amazing and sleep in. Then I hate you you can recuperate by sleeping in, you lucky parent you.

Our kids seem to do this backwards nonsense where the later they stay up the earlier they wake up. It is horrible. It makes for crabby, sleep deprived children. And crabby cheerfully sleep deprived parents.

And when two of your three kids are no longer nappers it means no nap for mom or for dad. Which makes for such a long day…

So we will stay in our pajamas, watch movies, eat things like popcorn for lunch, and just keep it low key.

Well, there you have it, it’s been just another Manic Mom-day!
