I love the Holidays.
I love gathering with all my friends and family.
I love putting lights up everywhere.
I love picking out gifts for loved ones.
I love the snow. (if you’re lucky enough to live somewhere where it snows)
I love the magic of it all.
And sometimes, I love the food a little too much.
And the kids have loved all the Holiday foods a little too much.
So, now that the Holiday season is winding down and things are calming it’s time to get back to eating more normally.
No more cookies for breakfast, all day snack fests, road trip happy meals, or accidentally skipped meals.
Not going to lie, fighting the kids on this is not fun. Convincing them that candy canes, cookies, and hot chocolate do not in fact make up all the food groups is a battle. Especially since mom just wants to keep eating these things too.
But….
Mommy has to set a good example and therefore eat good things. But only when in front of her children.
Time to go buy some apples and carrots!
Well, there you have it, it’s been just another Manic Mom-day!
What’s your biggest Holiday food cheat?!
