Now that we’re a couple of weeks into the new year, how are those resolutions holding up for you?
Keeping to your new habits is hard with children running around. Unless your resolution is to let your children run around wreaking more havoc than last year, then they can kind of stand in your way.
Whatever your resolution may be – be it working out more, eating healthier, reading more, saving more money, learning a second language – kids make it just a little more difficult.
Finding time to squeeze in new hobbies in between the diaper changes, the sleepless nights, the feeding of small
vultures children takes a lot of motivation. And dedication.
My resolution last year was to make more time for reading
because this bookworm had been slacking the previous years because it is something I enjoy doing; but hadn’t been making the time for. I was able to read so much more and I really stuck with this one. Some of my other resolutions fell away as the year rolled on because i just wasn’t motivated enough to make the time for them.
This year one of my resolutions is to do more projects. Something that took a back seat to the reading this past year. I am hoping to find a balance of doing all of the things I love while not ignoring the people I love to do them.
Well, there you have it, it’s been just another Manic Mom-day!
What are your New Year’s resolutions?! Are you finding the time and the motivation to stick with them?!
