Kids are hard guys.
Cooped up kids who haven’t played outside in weeks and who barely see the sun anymore are HARDER. (Yes, I realize I now live in Georgia and this post isn’t as extreme for me; but hey – it gets cold here too! We even had SNOW! In GEORGIA!)
Surviving the winter season with small children who love the outdoors is no easy feat.
Don’t get me wrong, my kids do go outdoors in the winter; but it’s more like spend an hour preparing them for the cold for them to last five whole minutes out there. Not fun.
So, we are stuck mostly indoors. For months.
My poor, little, bug lovers, tree climbers, bike riders get stir crazy!
And it’s only January. I’m just going to pretend that it is not a sunny 70 outside while I ready this for posting… sorry guys.
This is where all those fun Pinterest ideas come in handy! You can make an indoor water table. You can dye some rice for some sensory fun. You can make clouds out of soap in your microwave. Pinterest has so many ideas it’s amazing we survived without it.
Seriously though…what did we do before Pinterest?!
Well, there you have it, it’s been just another Manic Mom-day!
What fun things do you do with your kids during the winter?! Anything amazing we should try out?!
