work trip wednesdays

{work trip wednesdays: dada}

Another week has passed and it was finally Little Bear’s turn to open a book!

He conveniently opened not at all planned by mom this gem…

Your Baby's First Word Will Be DADA

Your Baby’s First Word Will Be DADA by Jimmy Fallon.*

This was an extremely fitting book for our Little Bear to open seeing as how he is currently calling everyone “MOOOOOM!” EVERYONE. To include his “DADA”.

He says other things besides mom.

He tries to say his sister’s name, which is amusing because it is not an easy name. He says “Ready. Set. Go!” He tries to talk to the Xbox like the other two kids. He recently started saying “Apple”.

But he will not say Dad, Daddy, Dada, Da.

And he thinks this is hilarious. I swear it’s intentional because he knows how much we want him to say it. He is kind of fun like that.

It’s a cute book of some father animals who all say “Dada!” and their baby just keeps responding with the appropriate animal noise. Mush to the father animal’s dismay.

I love how some of the daddy animals look so perturbed!

One of the favorites in this house is the little “Hee-Haw”. They find it quite hilarious and giggle every time!

Despite reading this book repeatedly for the past week, Bear does not seem any closer to calling Daddy anything but mom.

It was worth a shot!

Three books down, three weeks down!

Have you read this book?!
