As you know, getting pregnant does wonders for your body!
I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s magical and amazing and you get a sweet, little baby out of it.
And then you are left to face the oh so fun task of getting your body strong again while dealing with major sleep deprivation and a baby!
Trying to find the time and the energy to press play and get a workout in can feel…insurmountable.
AND THEN, once you finally press play you have the immense joy of working out with a baby and kids to interrupt you.
Some days I swear I press pause every five minutes because of the kids. Bear spills my water, pause. Bug steals my weights, pause. Bear shuts himself in a room and can’t get out, pause. Bear mashes on my computer and rewinds the workout, pause. Bug needs his movie turned on NOW, pause. Bear comes in and climbs on top of me, power through and lift the extra weight. Bear needs more milk, pause. Bug needs a snack, pause. Pause, pause, pause, pause, pause…
Too bad the actual act of pressing the pause button doesn’t add any extra to my workout.
So, an hour long workout turns into a two hour ordeal and you are four times as exhausted than you were before.
AND NOW you get to try and take a shower.
Oh, the joys of parenthood.
Well, I should probably go press play on a workout, so there you have it, it’s been just another Manic Mom-day!
What do your workouts look like?!
