Congratulations to Christine for guessing the quick craft correctly and winning a Starbucks gift card!

Here is what the final project looks like!

{quick crafts} sponge bombs2

It’s a sponge bomb!

Want the quick how to on these summer fun sponge bombs?!

All the supplies you need are…

That’s it!!

Isn’t that awesome?!

Seriously guys, this project is so easy and so much fun for the littles!

{quick crafts with BC} step one

Gather your supplies up!

You will need two sponges per bomb.

Cut them into four strips, the long way.

Think hot dog, not hamburger. 😉

{quick crafts with BC} step two

You should have eight strips!

Lay out the strips of sponge so that in this case it’s pink, purple, pink, purple.

Then, stack the next four alternating purple, pink, purple, pink.

{quick crafts with BC} step three

Now, this next part may require a friend.

It took us all four hands, so there are no photos. Sorry!

One person holds the eight strips and the other ties the string around the middle of the bunch.

You could probably do this solo if you lay the sponges out on top of your string first, and then tie.

I made as tight a knot as possible. Because…kids.

And then i looped it around a second time and knotted it again.

Then just trim the tails!

Then take the sponge strips and just reposition them slightly so that it resembles a ball.

{quick crafts with BC} step five

Last step, just add water!

The littles have a blast soaking these and then bombing each other with them!

Of course there are a few tears. Because…kids.

However, overall they enjoy them!

How many sponge bombs will you make?!

Let me know your thoughts! I love hearing from you guys!

Thanks for playing!
