{cleaning the carpets}

Littles spill.

Littles spill a little.

Littles spill a lot.

One of the things that I made sure to get while pregnant with my first was this awesome Bissell SpotBot.

This thing is AWESOME!

I was so sad when our stopped working.

Six years, three moves, and 5,786 spills later.

Just kidding, I have no idea how many spills I used it for.

It’s just so easy!

However, with everyday dirt, sand, dog hair, and what not wreaking havoc on our carpets I do also steam clean the entire carpet.

Doing this with littles and pets trying to run around on said carpet is loads of fun.

Usually I pick a day and use my amazing Tetris skills to get all furniture in an uncarpeted area. I blockade all littles into the portion of the carpet I am not doing that day. And then I get to work.

In our current, one story house, I let the littles play in their rooms and do the living room one day, let it dry, replace the furniture, and then reverse it the next day. Let the littles play in the living room and get the carpets in their rooms cleaned.

It is exhausting.

Of course, while I am cleaning the carpets I am also cleaning up toys that keep getting tossed over the blockade. I am getting yelled at over the sound of the carpet cleaner to be told that so and so is staring at me. I am getting cups thrown at me as a way of asking for more juice. I am getting barked at by Knox because he is not happy with being stuck in the kitchen.

So, picture this, it’s day three the carpets are clean and dry. The furniture is back in it’s place. The littles and pets are free.

Queue the dog vomiting, Cuddle Bug deciding to pee on the floor in his room, and Little Bear spilling his juice.

That’s life!

Well, there you have it, it’s been just another Manic Momday!

What is your carpet cleaner of choice?!

How often do you steam clean?!
