Technology is awesome!

Right?

Well…

I actually feel pretty meh about it most of the time.

I don’t enjoy the littles being sucked into television all day, every day. They turn into zombies sometimes and can’t see or hear anything else around them.

I don’t enjoy giving them the IPads that we own. I only pull them out for road trips and even then, not really. If i do remember to bring them with they are used as a last ditch effort to calm the littles during a long car ride. Fortunately for me, the littles are rockstars at road trips and don’t really ever get to the point of needing the electronic devices. They may think they need them; but they are dramatic.

I definitely do not enjoy giving them my phone. Especially not after Little Bear chucked mine out of anger in the doctor’s office and shattered the screen.

I also try to set a good example by putting my phone down more and actually pay attention to what is going on around me. Basically meaning making sure my littles aren’t doing something completely dangerous that will inevitably require a trip to the Emergency Room.

I also try to save the majority of my computer time for after bed time.

I am not saying that I am amazing at this; but I do put forth the effort.

I am also not saying that technology is evil at all times and should never ever EVER be used.

Obviously, when Cuddle Bug thinks 5AM is a great wake up time after Little Miss stayed up until 11PM and Little Bear woke up at 1AM and 3AM this mom curls up on the couch with Bug and pops in a movie to distract him and allow me to kind of, sort of go back to sleep.

Another time that I have decided technology is an absolute life saver is with grocery shopping!

Yes! Grocery shopping!

Have you used Instacart to do your shopping for you AND deliver your groceries to your door yet?! If not, you are missing out, and should go do it. Like right now.

Guys! You can get your groceries delivered in as little as 1 hour with Instacart! This means if there was something you forgot or something you need, and say your kids are napping, you don’t have to stress out, Insta cart has you covered!

Lately, Bear has decided that grocery carts are enemy number one and as soon as I set him down in one he is crying and wiggling and trying to climb out.

And it doesn’t stop.

He’s a persistent little thing.

This does not make for an enjoyable trip to the grocery store.

Heck! It doesn’t even make for a productive trip to the grocery store. I constantly end up forgetting things on my list because I am in such a hurry to please the beast and get out of there.

So, to make this mom’s life easier, I hand over the grocery list to Instacart instead!

I just…..

you find what you need

the app gives you ideas of what you might be forgetting based on what is in your cart

you fill in your address & any special directions you may have for the delivery person

there’s even a place to tip!

This app really makes grocery shopping so simple!

And then my groceries are delivered right to my door!

And you can get your First Order Delivered for FREE! No excuse not to give it a try!

Well, there you have it, it’s been just another Manic Momday!

Made slightly less manic thanks to technology!
